Sales are
heating up gradually this early Spring, just like our temperatures.
After a very slow period of sales over the past 6 months,
we are pleased to see an increase in activity and newly-pending
property sales. Home, villa and inventory levels are still
at record highs, presenting outstanding opportunities for
buyers. So
if you have been considering a purchase, you
really need to consider acting quickly. This market conditions

We
hope that you find the following tip on home maintenance,
etc. to be helpful. If so, feel free to pass it along to a
friend.
This Month's Tip
We received the following warning from a credible source,
but we have not verified its information. It seems logical,
and if it is accurate, it is worth heeding as most termite
protection policies EXCLUDE damage from Formosan termites:
If you use much around your house be very careful about
buying mulch this year. After the Hurricane in New Orleans
many trees were blown over. These trees were then turned into
mulch and the state is trying to get rid of tons and tons
of this mulch to any state or company who will come and haul
it away. So it will be showing up in Home Depot and Lowes
at dirt cheap prices with one huge problem; Formosan Termites
will be the bonus in many of those bags. New Orleans is one
of the few areas in the country where the Formosan Termites
has gotten a strong hold and most of the trees blown down
were already badly infested with those termites. Now we may
have the worst case of transporting a problem to all parts
of the country that we have ever had. These termites can eat
a house in no time at all and we have no good control against
them, so tell your friends that own homes to avoid cheap mulch
and know where it came from. |

St.
Patricks Day Parade a Hit
Outstanding
weather adorned this years St. Patricks Day
parade, and the event was a great hit, as always! Absent
of the screeching-tire mini-cars, the parade was otherwise
in-line with prior years, providing great hand-outs
for kids including candy, popcorn, green beads and more.
The longest stretch of the parade route runs along the southern
lanes of Pope Avenue, and the parade ran for about 2 hours.

Water
Police to Patrol May
Starting
this boating season, Bluffton police plan to have a routine
boat patrol along the May River by May 2006. The patrols will
run Friday through Sunday and police will be looking to control
intoxicated boaters, overcrowded boats, personal watercraft
jumping wakes, etc.. This should be a good means of making
our boating waters safe this summer. |
